CLAEH University (UCLAEH) is a non-profit civil organization with university identity. Humanist and detached from any religion, ideology, or political party, it integrates social intervention with education.

Since its beginnings (1957) it has given priority to its humanist commitment in the way to approach its activities. Today they go for a lifelong e-learning platform because they understand the students’ and the context need of having permanent training with the demanded flexibility to be adapted to life.

In its new university model, the academic requirement is integrated with social roots. Rsearch combines specialization and an interdisciplinary approach, impartiality and pragmatism, internal debate and dialogue with the academic and political world.

In this way, Claeh in its partnership with Capabilia reaches to digitalize and power up its contents through technological innovation. Committed to the development of platforms that allow students and workers to follow a life-long learning, and, in that way, acquire the skills the future demands. These platforms have to be diverse and flexible to enable the adaptation to the lives of people of the most varied origins, and in different places.

Why is it important that universities commit to these platforms?

In the digital revolution context, education cannot be stranger to technological advances. The flexibility and accessibility granted by education digitalization stopped being a treat to become a need.

Capabilia proposal emerged to cope with this need. It specializes in connecting university knowledge and the future of education through effective training steps which allow users to acquire key skills for the future of the job market.

What does this mean in the Latin American context?

Latin America is one of the regions with the greatest access to public higher education, but it is one of the contexts in which the skill-gap is bigger. This phenomenon is the difference between the skills professionals have and the skills required by the market.

In this way, CLAEH, in partnership with Capabilia, undertakes the responsibility of providing its students with training spaces based on those skills demanded by the market.
